Nifty likely to open in 8000 range

A day after the Indian equity market saw a significant charge of bulls, the Nifty is likely to open in the green and more importantly, in the psychological 8000 mark. The SGX Nifty, an indicator of the market opening, was trading at 8018, up 42 points at 7:20. 

The BSE Sensex on Wednesday soared 376.17 points or 1.46 percent to 26154.83 and the NSE Nifty rallied 105.60 points or 1.35 percent to 7948.90. 

Global cues too are likley to support today's gains with the US markets having rallied more than 1.5 percent on positive cues. The Dow Jones industrial average closed up 235.57 points while the S&P 500 rallied 1.9 percent to close at 1,920, after opening below the psychologically key 1,900 level.
